Single Line of Text Fields with Max Character Limit
Quote from Lori Popoff on March 18, 2021, 2:22 pmWe noticed if we drop a single line of text field onto a Nitro form that was configured with a maximum character length, the max length is not recognized by Nitro forms. Is that by design or a bug?

In NITRO forms we can configure length restrictions using column validations. To avoid confusion between maximum character limit and validations, we support only validations as they provide lot more options and also conditional validations.
Please refer below screenshot for sample validation configuration.

Where this is coming from is we have users that create their own lists (could have been years ago) and different people that build the forms. The builders will need to look for that setting going forward so they can recreate it on the form.
